This collective named MzTek is something to watch. I have been following their great initiatives and projects from my  computer screen in the last couple of months.  I would truly wish, we had something similar in Copenhagen. Maybe something to aim for…anyone?!

Distance Learning – RDAM

The conference Distance Learning at The Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) is a vital step in using e-learning in higher education. The conference will show how live-streaming can be used in daily practice, and discuss the didactics of the new technologies. I am involved in the project as coordinator.

Copenhagen Design Week 2011

The Copenhagen Design Week is coming up soon... The CITA research environment will be part of the festival with an installation. CITA focuses on  interdisciplinary approaches to architecture practice with the use of computer graphics, human computer interaction, robotics and artificial intelligence.

Melancholia – a soothing relief

On a stormy and rainy night, I went to see Lars von Trier’s new movie “Melancholia”. The weather set the scene perfectly for the movie which portraits the end of the world.  This rather depressing point of departure gives way to a surprisingly soothing feeling as a viewer – a feeling of relief.  This relief or mental pause from society is something not all of us seek, but certainly something that we in our lives unexpectedly gets confronted by.  The movie is divided into two parts with many sub layers that evolves as the movie pro(de)gresses.  This visual- tour- de -force- of- a- movie ought to be seen in red comfortable chairs and dark surroundings…
